1.	What is a canvas print? A canvas print is a photograph (Data or film) or a scan or photo of your painting printed directly onto artist's canvas cloth using permanent inks, then stretched over an internal wooden frame. giving it a very modern feel with no annoying reflections from the glass in conventional framing, and though its a photograph, looking not unlike a painting.
2.	What is a canvas style board? This is the name Treasure Dragon has decided for its canvas print product, all designs have first been meticulously resized and color adjusted in preparation for printing onto the canvas, including any other artistic adjustments that may be needed, eg. removing unwanted distractions or dust particles, giving you the best quality image for printing, after that, we hand make the frame and stretch your design over it, using quality recycled timbers. your final product "canvas style board" is then 100% ready to hang on your wall.
3.	What size do I need my data to be for printing certain sizes? This can be a very difficult question to answer, as it can get very technical and confusing but, as a rule always send us your largest data no matter what size you would like order, this will ensure you get the best possible results. However the larger the print required the larger the data should be! for our largest size (LLL) 1600x2400 pixels would be the minimum sized data required. However, if you have larger data that would be preferred. For our smaller canvas sizes it is possible to print from Mobile phone size data, although today, with the advancement of phone cameras, we have been able to print even our larger sizes successfully. 4.	Can I make a canvas from a regular photograph? Regular photos first need to be scanned and made into digital data, this can be done at most printing shops, or you can send it in to us via regular mail and we can scan it for you. Your photo will of course be returned as well as the digital data we have made for you, that way you will have it preserved for ever. From that digital scan we can make your canvas design.
5.	Can I order a custom size canvas? We can make custom sizes for you to fit your interior needs, but please remember our maximum size is 85cm x 50cm which means the maximum square size for example would be 50cm x 50cm, and the price would be between the (LLL) size and the (LL) size. In the case where the minimum size would become smaller than our S size (17cm x 24cm) or smallest regular size canvas, we have a minimum charge of 3000 yen. Our panorama sizes can also be customized.
6.	Can dust or spots be removed from my data or photograph before printing? Dust and spots can occur for many reasons, digital cameras can have dirty sensors, or badly scanned photos may also cause a problem in this area, but thankfully they can easily be cleaned up in programs like photoshop. We will check your photos automatically for you for these problems, along with any other distractions your image may have to ensure you receive the best possible result for your artwork. If you have any special requirements in this area please inform us when you order your canvas in the space provided on the order form. For example, removing unwanted things from the background. in most cases this service is free of charge.
7.	Can any photograph be made into a canvas? Some photographs can infringe on copyright laws, Famous people's faces, company logo's like the "Nike" tick or "Adidas" stripes to name a few. Photos you may have downloaded from the internet without permission may also be subject to copyright laws, but any photo you have taken yourself in most cases is copy written to you and should therefore be ok, if there are any questionable areas to do with your image, we will contact you before printing.
8.	Will the color in my photograph be the same as the canvas print? Without getting to technical on you, the basic and easy explanation to this question is, a computer monitors color range used for viewing color and the color gamut that is used by a printer are different, for example (RBG) red,blue,green and (CYMK) cyan,yellow,magenta,black). Or even easier to understand, your photo may also look different when viewed on different computers, so the color range you see on your computer maybe very different to what I see on my screen here depending on our computers settings. We make every effort to get your image a close to the original as possible, having said that and in most cases, due to contrast enhancements and level adjusting of your photo the end result is usually substantially improved.
9.	How heavy are canvas prints? Canvas prints are so light that even the largest sizes including our LLL size require only a single pin to hang on the wall! This means no nasty screw holes, also making your canvas easy to relocate, when you would like to freshen up your interior. Canvases are also ideal for putting on an art easel and placing on your counter tops.
10.	Can I use my canvas print outdoors? All of our canvas prints have been coated with a protective spray, having said this, they are not meant for outdoor use, in fact even if your canvas is placed indoors and is exposed to direct sunlight, like any normal photograph they will fade or discolor, the suns rays are very destructive and as you know will fade all things, take your car for example! our protective coating is to some extent waterproof but rain or hanging your art in potentially wet areas, like the bathroom or kitchen should be avoided at all costs. If your artwork is found to be damaged due to any of these reasons we are sorry but we cannot replace it for you.
11.	What is the expected life of a canvas print? With correct care and avoiding hanging your artwork in the wrong places, such as and not limited to, moisture prone areas like showers or kitchens, or areas with a high concentration of smoke, cigarette smoke or grease from kitchens or outdoor areas, the inks should last a lifetime, however the technology has not been around long enough to say for sure, also different environments will have different effects on the canvas. In sort a canvas print should be cared for in the same way you would care for any regular photograph and a similar result should prevail.
12.	How long will it take for me to receive my order? Your Order will in most cases be ready within 7 days. However if your order requires a special design for example a collage design or alot of cutting and pasting, it may take a little longer. Usually after you have checked your design via e-mail (if required) and no more changes are necessary, you should have it in your hands within 7 days. (delivery to overseas destinations will have to take that process into account). Your satisfaction is our priority and beautiful art is what we promise to deliver. please try to allow time for this when you order. We also understand when your shopping for that last minute present this may not always be possible, so please let us know if you have a tight schedule and we will do our best to for fill your needs.
13.	Can I pay with a credit card? Unfortunately we do not accept credit cards directly, however we do accept Paypal, and you can use most cards through this service.
